Chris Morgan, CPA

Chief Executive Officer

Chris Morgan serves as Chief Executive Officer of LBMC W Squared, bringing nearly two decades of experience within the organization and a deep understanding of its clients, people, and operations. Since joining W Squared in 2006 as one of its first staff accountants, Chris has played an integral role in the company’s evolution and long-term success.

Throughout his tenure, Chris has advanced through a variety of leadership roles—including Controller, Client CFO, Implementation Specialist, and Sales/Account Manager—building a well-rounded perspective across all facets of the business. In 2017, he was instrumental in the successful merger with LBMC, helping to drive a seamless integration and establish a unified, scalable service model across the combined client base.

Prior to being named CEO, Chris served as Chief Operating Officer, where he oversaw day-to-day operations, client relationships, and team member development. In this role, he strengthened operational efficiency, enhanced the client experience, and reinforced the firm’s commitment to service excellence.

Chris has extensive experience partnering with clients across a wide range of industries, including healthcare, SaaS, information technology, and professional services. He has supported organizations at every stage of growth—from early-stage startups to companies navigating complex, multimillion-dollar transactions—by aligning the right people, processes, and systems to enable scalable, cost-effective success.

Originally from Australia, Chris came to the United States on a college tennis scholarship at Murray State University. He and his wife, Tara, now call the Nashville area home. When he is not growing the LBMC W Squared business, you can find Chris on trails of Nashville training for a Spartan race, or on the sidelines coaching his daughter, Chloe, in various sports.
